About Me

  • About Me: Presently I am working on a Master of Arts in Teaching (Secondary Education in History) at Lee University. I am a mother of four, grandmother of eight, great grandmother of one and wife of the best guy in the whole world.

More About Me

  • Heroes: Julia Child, George H. W. Bush, Barbara Bush, and all of the wonderful professors at Lee University who have put up with me in their classes.
  • Interests: History, genealogy, writing, cooking, family, God and my faith, surviving college, studying and monitoring earthquakes and volcanoes. I can generally always be found with a book in hand and actually know how to read it. All of it and not necessarily in this order. Also, did I ever mention I collect children's series books? I really like books!
  • Expertise: You've got to be kidding. Actually, I'm told I'm good at genealogy and have parts of the family tree traced to before 1409. I love research and have been nationally acclaimed as an artist in both oils and as a floral designer.
  • Occupation: Student

  • Best meal ever: In 1971, Dick and I were on our honeymoon and found a hole in the wall restaurant called Alioto's hidden away between touristy things down on Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. He ordered surf and turf for two with a beautiful bottle of wine, garlic roasted potatoes, and fresh asparagus. No one asked for my id and we spent a wonderful evening just relaxing. Between tours of the violinist we had a good laugh because every time one of us would take a sip of water or wine our young waiter would nearly hurl himself across the hedges separating the tables to refill our glasses.
